Time Bandits 2022

Time Bandits 2022

Time Bandits were awarded the maximum £500 from the Small Donations Fund (SDF) in 2021 for a weekend of historical re-enactment at Kirkharle Courtyard in the summer of 2022.

Previous work had taken place since 2016 in collaboration with Kirkharle Courtyard to celebrate the life of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown who was born at Kirkharle in 1716. Time Bandits wished to offer a weekend of themed events including 'Capey' themed walks with characters in historical dress, a living history offer giving visitors the chance to handle their historical artefacts including domestic and horticultural items, with storytelling and music and living history displays focusing on a Georgian duel.

Any visitors to the Courtyard that weekend would have been able to witness the work.

The Small Donations Fund can award up to £500 in a quick and simplified application process where a decision can be made and funds transferred within seven days with a straightforward application.

The Community Benefit Fund (CBF), Small Donations Fund (SDF), Education Apprenticeship and Training Bursary (EAT) and Legacy Fund are administered by the Ray Windfarm Fund Community Interest Company (CIC) by agreement with Vattenfall.

Grants are awarded to local people and organisations who want to make a difference for their own community.
